Tampere region with its long industrial history and strong machine workshop know-how has been one of the powerhouses of the Finnish technical progress. For decades, Nomet has done its part in advancing this progress with the latest technical innovations.
Founded in 1950
Nomet Oy was founded by Heikki Jokinen in 1950. In 1970 the company was aquired by Rolate Oy, and in 1973 Nomet moved to its current premises in Vehmainen, Tampere. The location near important industrial customers proved to be excellent for the company.

The development continues
During the past decades, the machine workshop industry has transformed in many ways. In 2000, nomet received the subcontractor of the year award.
